concept ideas

I love the UVA images. Perhaps could we find a way of linking the lighting back to the global crisis aspects of the brief? The first tensegrities were not made by human beings eg spider web, the protein cytoskeleton of cells..

An astoundingly wide variety of natural systems, including carbon atoms, water molecules, proteins, viruses, cells, tissues and even humans and other living creatures, are constructed using a common form of architecture known as tensegrity. The term refers to a system that stabilizes itself mechanically because of the way in which tensional and compressive forces are distributed and balanced within the structure. (Donald Ingber, The Architecture of Life, 1998)

Maybe the way the compression and tension structural elements of tensegrity interrelate could be like two competing forces
eg nature vs man (climate crisis), the gap between rich and poor (financial crisis)

felicity :)
