GOALS FOR TUESDAY- READ IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Firstly, everyone needs to scroll through the blog properly i feel that at the moment i will write a long spiel and only some will scroll down far enough beyond the latest posts to read it so please read this post.

Program/Form:
We need a range of forms that relate to the concept that i outlined in the summary of the last meeting on this blog. We need as many as possible to choose from, i am working on this also, consider using mayer and Rhino as well as physical models. Make sure it responds to the concept/brief and also that it is not too incredibly complex to build! Consider both the idea of people being able to walk inside it and also the very real fact that this may not be a possibility so design for both situations regardless, the panelled idea with the images will also be great.

Joints and Modules:
We desperately need a final structural solution, remember that we are making a tensegrity super structure then filling the space with Tensegrity as a skin! So can you all consider this please. Jason's joint from the images looked really promising and it was pure tensegrity which works to our advantage seeing as we are presenting to a panel of engineers also. They understand the challenge and nature of our structure so lets roll with it. We need rough material decisions also do we use steel coping? timber? bamboo? and for tension what kind of rubber? i understand we can get some seriously strong rubber but as we have seen the integrity and performance is in the ratio of tension to compression so please the material is so important! Wire for example may be too rigid for the scale of this project but i could be wrong. Rubber bands just appear to work so well so a stronger variation seems appropriate.
Also:
- Joints for connection of module
- Felicity mentioned that she was not confident with the connection of the tensile and compression elements so drilling holes and using eyelets, i don't agree but I need you all to come to some sort of agreement on tuesday regardless of who is right, basically if we don't have a concrete structure we will be in trouble!!!!!!!
- How do the lights connect to the structure.
- If there are numerous types of tensegrity modules we will choose the best so please guys Alex and Ali try and build some more from your books.

Interaction Team:
Guys, make sure you understand how the pressure sensors work and bring ideas about lighting connection and water proofing to the table. We need to know proximity sensors back to front its very important!!!

Grace:
Your doing a really good job keep sourcing! by Tuesday we need prices on LED's, flourescents and the type that Phil suggest, please take his suggestion into consideration and find out for all these solutions; How bright? set-up options and how these options relate to price... just make some calls its quite easy. Also our decision can be made on whether i can get a sponsor but leave it to me.

Everyone this Tuesday is very important we need to know what we are doing so we can start on presentation and model building we need to be solid no other option!!!!! I don't want to do a shit job on presentation and production because we can't get it together.

Christen.
