For Tuesday

Hi Guys,

I am really excited to see all the progress going on this week. We have alot more work to do but things are looking good. This project is excellent opportunity for you and we really need to push this as far as we can. I hope everyone who can make it on tuesday will come we need everyones help. I will be there as soon as i finish work.

Program Team / Skinteam

I would like to see some form determined before tuesday and drawings produced. Please post on the blog about form ideas so we can all comment and discuss these ideas. I think the idea of the skin as a smaller tensegrity skin is a good idea. Good work grace on the lights, do we have a rough idea on price?, Is it possible to get some lights for Tuesday?

Module/joints

All the object created so far are very interesting I guess we really need to nail the overall form to see if these modules will work.

If we have confirmed we are doing a larger module as the surface and a smaller module as the skin. You need to work out how this smaller module will connect with the larger module. Is it attached with a tensile string(eg hung) or a fixed joint etc etc...

Interaction Team

I think we need to confirm how this thing will interact with the public. and tie it into the concept. and if it is possible in maxmsp/phidgets. You should start sketching possible interaction scenarios. (Eg. one person close to pav, two ppl on opposite sides, etc. etc..)

Can you start programming a patch and testing scenarios. If you need help with maxmsp i can help just post the image of you patch on the blog.




I would like to see everyone post on the blog. Especially the quieter people. I know it is hard to have your say in class but on the blog is a easier place you can all be heard. No matter how crazy your idea is, it is still valid! Feel free to contact me or your project manager if there are any questions or problems.
