I think looking at nature as felicity mentioned is promising, nature is always held in the highest regard as being perfectly designed. Molecular chains and spider webs aesthetically are really interesting and in the case of a web structurally sound, definately a good idea.
We need to try and encompass both the GFC and the environment to have the brief covered.
